Apres Battle (The Social Bit)

Just so as you don't get the impression that it's all battles.....

Cross Dressing Is Not Essential

Most musters tend to revolve around the Beer Tent or if one isn't available then the nearest Pub.

The Beer Tent, as it sounds, is a large canvas marquee that stands out as beacon in the middle of an SK campsite. In here you'll find beer, at reasonable prices, live music or a disco on at least one of the muster nights, and you will always find Mr Davey !!!
The Beer Tent is the focal point for most people over the weekend and at a major muster it can get very crowded, so the art of not spilling your pint becomes a requisite.

As members of the regiment are spread all over the country, from Kent to Newcastle, it can be difficult to arrange regimental get-togethers, but local people in each area tend to get together in the close season.
We tend to meet in local pubs, sometimes in kit, just for a sociable drink and a chance to catch up with what's been happening over the close season, or winter quarters. We try to hold a regimental feast at least once a season, and although last season it didn't happen we are trying to ensure it will become a regular event in our season's calendar.
We also tend to get invites to other regiment's feasts and parties over the year, so it's never too long between events of some description.

The regimental magazine "Libertas" is produced between 4 and 6 times a year, with input from the regiment, it contains Warning Orders for any upcoming musters/events, historical information, film and book reviews, poetry and also some lighthearted editorial.

Beer, Beer, We Want More Beer !!!
As you can tell we like a drink, but don't let that stop you from joining, not all of us are in need of a drink all the time. At musters ,apart from the Beer Tent, we tend to congregate in the early evening around The Berlin Wall (our CO's authenty tent) for a communal cook-up of whatever grub is going, which can make for some interesting combinations, and always makes for a convivial start to the evenings festivities.

Beer or Lager ?.... Both !!!
